Born in 1967 in Viana do Castelo, he joined the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra in 1988, where he graduated in 1994. Specialist in General Surgery since 2003. He works as a Graduate Assistant in General Surgery at the Hospital de Santa Luzia in Viana do Castelo.
He started his activity at Sport Clube Vianense in the 1997-1998 season, and is responsible for the Medical Department of the club from that time until the present date. In the 1998-1999 season, he was part of the team that won the only national title in football in the entire history of the club: National Champion of the 3rd division.
